Week 1
Starting the class with an in depth look into what make research valid was a great idea since this class is based on research! I have found it very interesting to discuss researcher bias and what kinds of things result from those bias such as; skewed result, choice of research topic, the wording of the hypothesis, method of observation, and interpretation of data.I have never really put much thought into that. I have pretty much just taken what I have researched at face value. I now know to look for things such as sample size, method of data collection, researcher bias, the credentials of the researcher and the audience the research is geared towards. Knowing these things will help me to find valid information upon which I can build my thoughts and opinions.
